Alex and Ani jewelry, designed by Carolyn Rafaelian effortlessly mixes uptown chic with downtown cool. Born into a family of jewelers, Rafaelian spent many hours in her father's jewelry factory learning and experimenting. She furthered her education by attending the art and business schools of the University of Rhode Island and the American College in London. Using innovative approaches to brilliantly turn jewels of the past into present day gems, the pieces are rich and bold. Rafaelian strives to create unique designs that add to the lives of everyday people. Her jewelry is designed with her signature expandable feature.
